What to do if you find a snake in your front yard
Keep people and pets away and do not approach, handle or try to trap the snake. If you can safely observe it from a distance, note its last-known position and tell the catcher where it was seen.
Our snake-in-the-yard service guide explains how we can help. You can also read our snake safety advice and common tree snake guide. Do not rely on colour alone to identify a snake or move closer to take a photograph.
