From the town centre to Old Mans Valley
Hornsby Park occupies the former quarry landscape off Quarry Road. Council opened its Crusher Plant Precinct in March 2026; the Heritage Steps connect the area with the Blue Gum Walk and Great North Walk. This is a useful local reference when describing a sighting, but it does not identify where a particular snake came from.

What if the snake disappears in a shared garage?
Keep people out of the immediate area and tell the team its last position and direction. Have the building manager arrange access. Do not move stored items or search under cars to flush it out.
What if the snake has gone?
Call with the last sighting and time. Do not dismantle stored materials or enter a roof, drain or underfloor space. Ask the team whether a visit is useful and what charges apply if the animal cannot be located.
