Access and fees

Tell us about gates, steps or water access. Confirm the call-out fee, what it covers and the estimated arrival time.

A documented Hornsby Heights rescue

Diamond python threaded through a metal fence in Hornsby Heights
Original SITC photograph from the Hornsby Heights fence rescue.

A diamond python had wound its body through a garden fence. Harley supported the animal and freed it carefully before securing it for relocation.

The job shows why a trapped snake should be left to an experienced handler. Pulling an animal through bars can injure it and put the person handling it at risk.

One district, different access needs

Hornsby town centre

Give the building, basement level or loading entrance. Hornsby Park’s Quarry Road precinct is a different location from the shopping and station area.

Reserve boundaries

For Beecroft–Cheltenham, Hornsby Heights or Berowra Valley calls, distinguish a private garden from a public walking track.

Brooklyn and the river

Say whether the property can be reached by road. Boat, wharf or water-only access needs to be discussed before attendance.

Local references: Beecroft–Cheltenham Link Track, Crosslands Reserve, McKell Park, Brooklyn.

Confirm availability for your address

Keep clear of the animal and call with its last known location. Do not attempt a capture.
