Nominate a responsible site contact, operational gate, bay number and last-known position. Pause nearby work; do not move pallets, machinery or supplies to look for it.
Sportsground or reserve
Give the named entrance and a fixed path or field landmark. Keep observers on formed ground; never enter vegetation or surround the animal.

Two reserves with different entrances
Blacktown City Council places Glendenning Reserve on Dublin Street and lists its sportsfield, tennis facilities, playground, walking paths and parking. Council also lists Reserve 693 on Adrienne Street with a walking path and play equipment. These are distinct places: an exact street and entrance helps more than saying only “the park”.
Near homes or work premises, the relevant landmarks change to a side gate, driveway, loading bay or yard boundary. This is practical access guidance, not a claim that a particular property or reserve has a current snake problem.
Preserve the last trustworthy observation
Never put a hand beneath a pallet, rock, pot, machinery cover, garden edging or shed. The aim is to reduce risk to people and pets while keeping a reliable location for the catcher, not to flush the snake out.
