Snake catcher in Lalor Park

A snake beside a path, in a garden or at a workplace is a reason to clear the immediate area, not to search for it. Snakes in the City can arrange licensed removal in Lalor Park; tell us the exact last-seen place and safe way in.

Give a useful Lalor Park landmark

Lalor Park is a built-up suburb with public recreation spaces woven through residential streets. A park report and a snake under household storage require different access instructions. These are response examples, not records of Snakes in the City call-outs.

Northcott Road recreation edge

Council places Ashley Brown Reserve and Cavanagh Reserve in Lalor Park. If a snake is seen near a field, court or playground, identify the particular facility and keep spectators and pets back. Never enter longer grass to verify it has gone.

Homes and small workplaces

Describe the safest gate, garage or side access, and whether the snake is visible or concealed. Sheds, garden materials and fence lines can obstruct sight on any street; their presence does not prove a den or a species.

First protect people; then describe the scene

  1. Back away. Bring children and pets inside or behind a secure barrier. Do not touch, corner, trap or kill the snake.
  2. Watch only from a safe, already-occupied position. If it disappears, leave pots, timber, drains and equipment alone. Note the last position and direction.
  3. Call 0411 103 488 with the address, nearest access point and any people, pets or machinery that could enter the area. A photograph helps only if it was taken without approaching.

Possible human snakebite: call 000 immediately

Healthdirect advises keeping the person still and applying a pressure-immobilisation bandage and splint where appropriate while waiting for an ambulance. Do not wash, cut or suck the bite, apply a tourniquet or try to catch the snake. Even few early symptoms require urgent assessment.

Medical and veterinary help near Lalor Park

For a person who may have been bitten, call 000 first and follow the ambulance operator’s transport instructions. Blacktown Hospital, 18 Blacktown Road, Blacktown NSW 2148, is open 24 hours; its switchboard is (02) 9881 8000, not a substitute for 000.

If a pet may have been bitten, keep it still and phone a veterinarian urgently. SASH Western Sydney lists a 24/7 emergency service at 1 Rowood Road, Prospect NSW 2148, phone (02) 8609 9444. Call ahead for current capacity and transport advice; this page does not promise treatment for every case.

Booking and neighbouring guides

Our back office coordinates available catchers by location and proximity. Explain whether the snake is in a public space, building or yard and whether it remains visible. A call-out fee applies, with no weekend or public-holiday loading; ask what the visit and any search for a disappeared snake cover before booking. Capture cannot be guaranteed when an animal is hidden or has moved on. Snakes in the City provides humane capture and relocation under NSW licence MWL000102655.
